There are also no comparable connections to Facebook, Twitter or similar companies that might collect user behaviour. An exception are the embedded Youtube videos. Here, some usage statistics might be derived by Google.
Klangfreund does not sell, trade, or rent users personal identification information to others. Klangfreund may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with business partners, trusted affiliates, and advertisers for the purposes outlined below.
In the unlikely event that EU authorities request accounting details (because Klangfreund sells to customers from the EU) anonymised customer data would be provided to them.
Klangfreund may collect personal identification information from a user in a variety of ways including, but not limited to, when a user visits the website and places an order. A user may be asked for a name, an email address, a billing address and a phone number. A user may, however, visit the website anonymously. Klangfreund will collect personal identification information from a user only if the user voluntarily submits such information. A user can always refuse to supply personal identification information; however, doing so may prevent the user from engaging in certain activities related to Klangfreund.
When a user unlocks an application created by Klangfreund, the following data gets transmitted to the Klangfreund server over an encrypted connection: The version of the application, email and password the user just entered for the purpose of unlocking and the computer token. If the user agrees to provide additional information, the name of the operating system, if the application is running as a 32 bit or a 64 bit application, the name of the computer, the name of the plug-in host the application is currently running in and the type as which the application is running (AAX, AU, VST or VST3) (if the application is a plug-in) will also be transmitted over the encrypted connection to the Klangfreund server.
Klangfreund may collect non-personal identification information about a user whenever the user interacts with the website. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about the user's means of connection to the website, such as the operating system and similar information.
The website uses a "cooky" to store a session id to enhance the user's experience. The user may choose to configure his web browser to refuse cookies or to alert the user when cookies are being sent and stored. If the user does so, note that some parts of the website may not function properly.

To process payments: Klangfreund may use the information a user provides about the user when placing an order only to provide service to that order. When a user places his first order on the website, an account gets created that stores his email address, address and phone number on the website. Klangfreund does not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to provide the service. It's worth mentioning that secure methods are used to ensure that credit card information and other payment data won't be passed through or stored on the website.
To comply with the EU VAT regulations in order to be able to sell to customers from the EU.
To send periodic emails: Klangfreund may use the email address provided by a user to send him information and updates related to the user's orders. It may also be used to respond to user inquiries, questions, and other requests. The website also have an opt-in email newsletter to inform interested users about Klangfreund related news.
In order to provide comprehensive information, the website contains links to third-party websites. To the extent that these are not clearly identifiable as such, it shall be pointed out that the relevant link refers to an external website. Klangfreund has no influence on the content and design of such third-party websites. Consequently, the guarantees given under this privacy statement do naturally not apply for such other websites.
